Well it’s official! I absolutely love photographing lifestyle sessions. There is something so perfect about entering into someone’s home and using their own personal surroundings as a backdrop to their session. It sure makes choosing the location easy too! I’ve been photographing this precious family since their oldest Rylee (who is now considered one of my besties) was just a baby. It’s truly amazing how photography has brought so many amazing people into my life, this family being some of them. I love coming away with friendships because of my photography and feel so blessed to get to love and grow with my clients as I capture the different stages of their lives.
Brooke + Aaron said ‘I DO’ under the warm Mexican sun in an intimate ceremony that consisted of 30 of their closest friends and family at the breathtaking Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe resort, in Riviera Maya, México.
All 30 guests stayed in the Barcelo Maya Palace Resort where the wedding was held. The bride and groom exchanged their vows under a beautiful white gazebo that was draped with white fabric and fresh flowers that overlooked the beautiful gulf of Mexico. As the sun started to set and dinner and speeches got underway dark clouds rolled in and brought some sprinkles with them. We took cover frantically inside before it started to pour and finished up dinner and speeches. In perfect timing, the rain stopped and we made our way back outside to end the celebration off with some beach side dancing under moon!
Due to an unfortunate event that led to our hired photographer and friend having emergency surgery in Mexico (happy to say her surgery was a success and she was released the day after the wedding!) It was a team effort to document this special love day. My camera literally got tossed around like a hot potato and everyone’s efforts made the day and ensured we had lots of photographs to cherish the memories. I have to give lots of credit to Brooke’s step sister Ashley for capturing the ceremony for us and our good friend, Dave for snapping all our formal group portraits.
